Same thing happened to my mom. They just weren’t good, gave her headaches. Called them and got them replaced for free, plus they refunded the order so they basically paid her for her glasses. Never had any more problems. Got mine with the money she got refunded.

Jumping in to ask if you’ve tried carbomazapine (sp?) for the TN? My mom suffered for nearly 2 years with face shocks, sometimes dozens of times per day. That med is the only thing that helped, and we never had a doctor suggest it. I did my own research by looking up medical journals on my school’s library and then asked the doc to prescribe it for her. Almost instant relief

If you want to care for an animal that needs it, but can’t afford it, check with your local animal shelter. There are often local orgs that need people to foster Pets, and will provide food and vet care while they’re in your care. It’s an amazing feeling, helping these animals find their forever homes. But it can heartbreaking, too, so make sure you’re emotionally ready for it if you do it

Depends on what you’re wanting to learn. I’m a fellow tech illiterate noob, but I’ve been off and on with Linux since like 2006. Finally switched full time a few years ago. Honestly, with Mint, Ubuntu, Fedora I’ve found you basically can just set it and forget it, depending on your use case. YouTube has been my best friend whenever I have a problem, normally I type my issue into that before even google. How long have you been using Linux? If you’re still in the distro hopping phase,I suggest trying to swap Desktop environments instead of distros, as it gives you a little experience with the terminal, is well documented on how to do it, and gives you a good idea of what kind of UI you want

I’m lucky, I have a decent social circle, and I see them just about as often as I want. I’m just so much of an introvert that I don’t often try to see anyone. I’ll finish the bachelor’s, and if I can do it, I’m going for an MFA after. My grades are amazing, so I’m pretty confident. The part that scares me is being without her, not the finances. I’ll live in a car if I need to, I’ve done it before. Work night shift security and park somewhere semi safe and I’ll be fine. But the idea of not having her is absolutely terrifying. My whole life she’s been my best friend, and it’s really scary to see her not able to get out of the bed now. I know people say their parents are their friends, but I mean it. We talk about everything, play games. Anything happens, she’s my first thought. Major Mama’s boy. Haha

I’m really sorry you’ve lost both your parents, and that it’s been a rough transition. If you don’t mind me asking, what kind of work do you do? If you’re in the US, security pays kinda shitty, but generally above minimum wage by quite a bit, and most sites are so easy you can do whatever you want at work, video games, movies, or even college classes if you’re so inclined. I wish I’d signed up for SNHU when I was still doing security, I’d have that MFA by now, but my dumbass never thought I was able to handle college until I bit the bullet during the pandemic.

I mean, it’d have to go better than my attempts at learning Spanish. Lol. 5 new years resolutions in a row!
