Swing and a miss. NPR(and by proxy, BBC) and Al Jazeera mostly, with some social media articles where I am extremely critical of the source.

Trump was also doing the things we were scared trump would, the whole fucking time. Has been caught red handed, lied flagrantly, and suffered zero consequences because his cronies wouldn’t punish him. Either time has allowed you to forget exactly who the definitive worst option is, or you’re a lost cause Trump worshipper actively trying to push us closer to literal fascism.

I’ll give you that I wish there were a better democrat candidate than Biden, and I doubt I will be alone wishing that as I vote for him. Because Jesus Christ, the alternative was and is obviously so much worse.

We have to support the genocide over there so we don’t have a genocide over here!

Unironically, yes. What’s your argument, that you are so against 1 genocide that you will enable a 2nd? I don’t like that our choice is enabling 1 slaughter or 2, but how in the deranged hell do you think choosing more slaughter gives you the moral high ground?

“I don’t believe you have to be a Jew to be a Zionist, and I am a Zionist.” - Joe Biden

Christian Zionism, the Religious Right, and Donald Trump: History’s Role in Contemporary Politics https://ash.harvard.edu/christian-zionism-religious-right-and-donald-trump-history’s-role-contemporary-politics

These are both deranged genocide supporting people. I won’t cast a vote for either of them. I am hoping to vote for the PSL if they can get on the ballot. I live in a state that has consistently supported Trump by large margins due to our terrible electoral system.

Organizing in your local community for the capabilities of mutual aid and mutual defense are more valuable than a vote for Joe Biden in fighting the creeping fascism of the USA.

I would love to see a viable third option, but you know it’s wishful thinking at best for 2024. Trying to send a message with your vote is not worth it, and I say this from personal experience.

I’ll say the same thing I just said to the other guy. I truly hope you don’t get the chance to regret your inaction contributing to a second Trump presidency, the same way that I regret my inaction that led to his first.

That’s like the entire point of voting though.

My vote doesn’t matter because our electoral system sucks! How do you not get that? My state is red, it’s not changing for Joe no matter how HARD I VOTE!

I am also angry one of our allies that we are currently arming is committing genocide. Trump absolutely will not fix that. Rather, he will enable a 2nd genocide of Ukraine, given that he had tried to militarily weaken them after he was colluding with their oppressors.

I am livid that my choice is for a candidate that stands for 1 genocide, and one that stands for 2.

But I guess nothing matters to you people. You say you don’t like genocide, but act in a way likely to increase the amount of genocides and the death toll.

You don’t have a compelling rebuttal so it’s off to ad homs. When trump gets elected and continues project 2025, bans abortion federally, strips all rights for trans and LGBQ+ you best shut the fuck up and remember the day you called out someone for their “self level of importance”.

You’re just a privileged child with nothing of substance to say. Of course you don’t care because you’re unaffected by any of these issues. You get to spout your grandstanding shit and move on with your life, while the rest of us have to live day to day with the consequences of your actions. The circuit court judges have all been replaced. The supreme court is dead. People’s rights are being stripped in the US every day, but you know what, at least @John_McMurray@lemmy.ca can live with his conscience and move on with his life because nothing affects him. It’s pure privilege.
