I use edge at work and Firefox at home. Using edge every work day for 3 years and don’t really have many complaints about it. I used to actively avoid it, but after trying it, it doesn’t really seem all that bad.

Spotify tried making their UI look like Instagram or tick tock. It was a mandychange with no way to revert to normal. What you’d normally see on the screen where there was multiple pieces of information was now a shitty video clip previewing the play list or title being suggested. Everything was moved around.

I used it once to go to work. I was receiving my subscription for free from a friend. I called my friend to tell him that I deleted my account because I couldn’t change the UI back to normal. I pay for a tidal subscription now.

I was given free, a very decent, dumb tv and upgraded it to a smart tv with a $5 steam link and ran a cat 6 cable to it from my router. Best $5 ever. Have no intention of buying a new one. If I ever do, I will try my hardest to make sure if it’s a dumb one. I know they sell “commercial displays” that are basically a tv with no thrid party apps or a way to install them.

Seriously, just because something has a battery doesn’t mean you have to pull the animators from the Jetson’s out of storage to design a future car.

Some unions are stronger. I’m in a union and I don’t even have paid sick time after we just signed our first contract post covid. It makes me feel like it’s kind of useless, but it’s still better than no union. It’s an extremely mediocre feeling.
