Thanks!
bad bot
This was definitely a hit
How could it be? In the case of Chamberlain, the driver of the car that struck him was a local woman who cooperated with police, not some anonymous person who ran him over and then disappeared. Lynch’s boat went down with 20 people on board in a storm. Doesn’t seem plausible that either death could have been an assassination.
One crewmember died, the cook.
I don’t hate all bots. I very much enjoyed the ones on reddit that corrected people’s grammar 😆 If it’s not possible to make a bot opt in, then a bot as unpopular as this one should simply be switched off.
Whether they are effective or not is definitely in question, but they are unquestionably intended to be informative.
There is a big difference between “informative” and “unsuccessfully intended to be informative” and the latter ought not to exist.
If they irritate you,
It ain’t just me. I’m too lazy to dig it up but there was a recent thread about the media bias bot and the loathing was near unanimous. The objections were qualitative, e.g. the fallacy of using one biased web site to determine whether another web site is biased.
you have the ability to exercise your right to block them.
Opt in is better than opt out. Rather than asking every user who hates the bot (i.e. most users) to block it, better to provide something that can be subscribed to by those who want it.
You being annoyed at something you don’t like isn’t a reason to not have it.
Sure it is.
The bots are not tools to help us stay informed. They are irritating as all hell. There was a thread recently about the media bias bot and it got utterly slated. It needs to die.
why not just let people block it themselves if they dont like it.
Opt in is better than opt out

“Billionaires should not exist”. The people who died on the yacht were not quite billionaires, they were worth only nine figures rather than ten. But still, you don’t accumulate that much wealth without exploiting others.
The same day, the ex vice president of Autonomy software, was killed in a car accident.
It was not on the same day. Chamberlain died on 17/08. The Bayesian sunk on the morning of 19/08. I agree that it’s a weird coincidence that the two cofounders died within days of each other, and only a short time after winning their lawsuit. But I can’t imagine it’s a conspiracy. You don’t assassinate someone by sinking their boat in a storm. The road death is not suspicious either, the driver in question is a local woman who is cooperating with police, it’s not like some anonymous driver struck the man down and then disappeared.
They owned the yacht, they were the ones collecting the fee.
Yes, it was orcas, and that’s exactly what’s going to happen.
Yeah. That shadowy underground source. The Mirror.
