Which is especially sad in Germany, because we ought to have learnt from the mistakes of the past and mastered the art of improving ourselves. The stereotype of a German being overly critical was true for exactly that reason. Apparently the Generation that should have learned it from first hand simply forgot.
They are essential to the survival of the country - we neither have the brith rate, nor the capacity to sustain anything without them. As a country highly dependent on exports, immigration has always been one of the key factors. Be it the Turkish in the 60s and 70s, or anyone else. Being German has basically nothing to do with being born here
They are and that’s not necessarily exclusive.
I simply do not understand those people. You want to keep driving, selling and making internal combustion? Then do it with synthetic fuels, ffs. It’s already roughly the same cost when considering everything. Efficiency doesn’t matter for those clowns anyway.
I like to think I can keep the artist separate from their art, but it’s hard.
You can’t, but in some cases the art stands for itself without the artist. Basically, you can separate the Art from an Artist, but not the Artist from the Art. (if that makes any sense…)
I disagree - the Working Class want’s a mix between the original SPD and the original FDP. Those that want more right for the workers and those that are self employed. Because everyone thinking straight knows, we need immigration. However, we need a new set of rules. The AfD pretty much does play the role of “Bauernfänger” (the literal translation of “Scam” doesn’t work), as we say. All of those AfD Politicians that have actual seats have done shit over the years.
I do too. If anyone can’t follow those basic rules, they have no place in our society.
As a Metalhead, that’s a VERY different gesture 🤘
It’s not just a moral duty, it’s a damn duty for your country. Those idiots shouting “We are the true patriots” have lost everything both our countries stood for since we lost the war and you won it. The respect for people, the respect for different cultures, the knowledge that many of the laws our societes stand on are written in blood - hell, the respect to disagree and the ability do have different opinions.
I wish you luck, but that simply isn’t possible with some, they are too far gone.
I have no issue if political views don’t line up, in fact I welcome discussions and I have been wrong many times on some topics. However, the line has to be drawn somewhere, and that somewhere is openly advocating for racism or other views, that simply cannot stand in a society that aligns with modern “western” views. (Too many individual points that we take for granted these days)
Fuck the AfD Voters…I’ve been destroying years of friendships, because it turns out they voted AfD. I’m sick and tired of these fuckers enabling these clowns. This is definitely not my Germany anymore.
Well, what do you expect if an unintentional Geo Engineering experiment get’s shut down one day to the other. The Oceans are running a fever because of that…temps have jumped 2-3°C in just 3 years. More heat, more humidity, more dark clouds, even more energy - more temperature, less Co2 Absorption… But it would be great, if we could stop all that doom and gloom stuff. There’s still quite a lot of positive stuff happening.
Edit: To clarify, I’m talking about the IMO (International Maritime Organization) lowering the sulfur in crude oil for ships from 3% allowed to 0,5% in 2020 and the resulting “darker” clouds, due to sulfur “binding” water molecules. This in term lead to about 80% more energy from the sun that got “transferred” in to the atmosphere and the oceans, instead of being reflected with “white” clouds.

Freedom of press is a very long process, as it’s directly tied to all the people, actor, influencers and involved parties in that given country.
But this kind of shit has been happening for quite some time. Spain, Italy, UK…either Russians against the war or Ukrainian people…
There’s still a huge difference, because most of the subsidies in “western” countries are Tax Subsidies (there are exceptions). Chinese companies get direct money. There’s also the fact, that management is often in the CCP, sometimes even directly involved in the law making and various other things. Almost all subsidies are also in government loans, meaning they have to be payed back - the difference to bank loans though is that the government loans do not have interest. Again something that isn’t happening in China…as the CCP mostly owns those companies as well, they do not have to pay back the money.
Yes, I did. But I couldn’t get my Homeassistant to work routing through it, so I switched back to Proxy Manager…
Basically, China pumps incredible amounts of money in to companies, so they can undercut prices from EU companies crazy - forcing the EU companies to give up. EU wants to level the playing field.
Edit: With taxes for Chinese companies that want to sell something in the EU, like China already does as well on the Chinese market.
There also another thing at play here: China has laws, so that foreign companies need at least 50% Chinese “shares” (it’s not just shares), basically neutering these companies and also giving away the technology to Chinese third parties. Wich further erodes the playing field, because now Chinese companies not only can produce stuff dirt cheap, they can also do it with “high-tech” stuff, without having to pay and/or do the development.
You can open a company in both places, you can make business in both easy, you can invest in any company you like in both cases. Most of the time even the justice system kind of work.
None of this is true for China - if you are a foreigner even less.
