  • I bought a modern well made dresser from some exotic wood, cost me roughly €900 amd it got damaged after moving but i haven’t taken the time to repair it as it’s only visual.

That thing is solid af, it has more hidden supports than it needs. I could probably park a car on top and it would withstand the weight. (Obv. i haven’t tested that lol)

We went shopping for a tv cabinet and 99% turned out to be particle board but they still had the audacity to charge between €1200 and €1800 euro’s.

  • Domino’s still regularly has €5 pizza’s on monday for pickup, at my old job during the late shift we had €17 per person to spend on food and 2 people in the shift.

We used to order 2 family xxl with their thursday 50% off for second pizza and a regular sized cheeseburger pizza+ drinks for that €34.

We both ate half our xxl and shared the regular size one, the remainder came home to feed our wives while the company covered the cost.

They even paid us a pretty decent wage too, but unfortunately the head office decided to build a new automated warehouse right when covid started that ended up only doing 30% productivity and they closed us down as a result.

  • My young coworkers seem to believe that 250k refugees of which 100k got a house are the reason we have a housing shortage of well over 400k.

These kids are worse off than i am when it comes to housing, so how surprising is it that they vote far right.

One of them asked me: “so, you’re not racist?” Nah “shame, really”. Motherfucker forgot my family isn’t from here and i’ve often been treated like subhuman trash for being a foreigner despite being born here and speaking the language like it is my own (because it is).

  • I never had any real issues with taxes back when groceries, rent and insurance were affordable.

The issues came to light when life started to cost 1.5 times our income, while still having to pay 40% on income and an extra 20% on expenses. I’d rather pay less taxes and eat, when taxes don’t do anything. I also learned that our safety nets are a scam, they set up so many bullshit rules that when i needed it they literally went: “you have the right to receive €800 but you won’t get it, no matter how hard you try”. I tried for a year until i realised our money is just being stolen under the cover of “taxes”.

  • What would be a good source of info on this, for someone who only knows windows but isn’t afraid to learn a lot of new stuff if that means doing it right.

I feel like i should move away from windows with their shenanigans. I use my pc for gaming and messing around with my 3d printer(and everything that comes with that), photography, design work.

  • A 10h of labour airco will create a vacuum and not keep you cool.

Two hours of labor is like 30 bucks, a bidet on the other hand is at least 10 times that.

An old friend had a funny Dutch thing he used to say: het smoesje is goed, maar het praatje deugt niet. Basically pointing out the fact that you’re talking out of your ass.

I have to admit that life indeed has gotten too easy for most, making them lax and unmotivated to live it while blaming “high costs” (bad spending habits). I see loads of people getting excessively priced food deliveries multiple times a week when their wage barely allows to afford it once a month. They will stroll around barely doing any work at all while claiming they are either too smart for their job or deserve a ceo’s wage.

Then you wonder when an employer pets them on the back, how businesses are going down left and right when 85% of their workforce consists of these useless beings.

    Rant over.
