Good article. The US is responsible for tearing up the rules based order that it established after WW2 when it went to war in Iraq in 2003 on spurious grounds without a UN mandate. The total lack of accountability was the cue to every country that the West would not enforce it’s own rules and so were practically meaningless.

We have seen the results in Ukraine and in Gaza.
