Still, to me, 750,000 on a population of 56 million doesn’t seem like a bunch (1.34%), but then we have people complaining here about 11 million on a population of 330 million (3.33%).

I’m just saying that the British tabloid press definitely has a reputation, and because of that, you will get complaints.
They aren’t as bad as the US tabloids, but still. If you find a good story on a tabloid site, you might want to consider finding it through a different source.
I have the same problem here in Oregon. KPTV is and has been an excellent news source, but they’re also a Fox affiliate, so I’m always like “Yeah, better see if I can find that from somewhere else…” Same problem with Sinclair stations.
Left or right doesn’t really enter into it from a moderating standpoint, but yeah, tabloid articles tend to lean into sensationalism over facts.
