Heh logically designed Linux software might not be as abundant as you think but you’ll get used it.
Xorg(and the x server protocol) is very old and like most long lived software has quite a few warts and quirks.
Wayland has been “the future” for like 10 years (though it’s quite a bit older). It’s only now starting to reach a critical mass where things are starting to change so it might feel a bit of a mess at the moment.
I would be perfectly content if it was just a content update.
The idea is good I think but the implementation has only ever caused me problems and seems to have a bunch of frustrating edge cases.
Actually while for myself it is sometimes DNS, if I see an internet wide outage it’s usually BGP.

What resources? The cost to print those messages is so small and shouldered by the manufacturer. The government doesn’t care it’s going to cost another half cent per cigarette wrapper and the majority of legally purchased cigarette cost is tax at this point.

Meta the company and its profitability goals suck. However in pursuit of those goals I find their OSS contributions and project management to be pretty good.
It usually boils down to this, something can be strictly better but not perfect.
The ability to audit the code is usually strictly better than closed source. Though I’m sure an argument could be made about exposing the code base to bad actors I generally think it’s a worthy trade off.
Windows decline has nothing to do with any of the actual features.
It is declining because fewer people are buying PCs anymore. Every one is using a mobile device or tablet.
This is also the reason they are squeezing windows harder to make up for the down turn.
