Did anyone watch that show NEXT from the people who made 24? I might have been the only one, I’ve never seen anyone ever talk about it. There was a plot point where the evil Alexa tried to convince a kid who was being bullied to bring a gun to school and shoot his bully, and provided the kid with the keycode to dad’s gun safe… it was pretty wild.

I had to get a player without any internet access or camera awhile back to use while working with confidential information, and ended up getting a 2nd Generation Fiio X3. Was a bit expensive, but was the most recommended for the price at the time, was a lot cheaper than the Sony, B&O and Astell+Kern it was compared with in reviews, and still works well years later. I just use a microSD card reader to update it, there’s a driver to install if you want to use it as a DAC otherwise it’s not needed

I watched Falling Down for the first time a few months ago, really only knowing Frank Grimes was based on him and it was an experience.

For me it’s usually more like youtube recommends the channel, I put the channel on as background for a day or two, even to the point of subbing maybe, until they get to a topic I actually know something about and realize they’re just reading wikipedia or regurgitating netflix documentaries or something and don’t really bother to understand what they’re talking about

in Canada the cranberry juice concentrate in glass bottles they sell in the health food section that you have to mix with water yourself is legit, the plastic bottles of ocean spray is either “cocktail”, something like 5-10% real cranberry juice and the rest sugar water, or “100% juice” but mostly apple/pear with some cranberry. There used to be a cranberry bog nearby on a reserve that sold the glass bottle concentrate pretty cheap, was good stuff.
