I second this, I came here to escape reality
As we discuss this new ruleset, I think I will leave my instance to start a new one called The United Instances of Lemmy. From this instance I will then half-heartedly yet aggressively send my users to meddle in other instances affairs on my behalf to impose my interpretation of these Fediverse rules without context alongside a few other instances that share my same limited definitions of right and wrong at the expense of everyone remotely involved.

I can see the double posts on that community from the instance itself and from other instances, through the official UI and through third-party apps. Seems to be a community issue or federation bug

You get the exact same quality at around ~25% smaller than other image formats. Unfortunate that it’s not supported by everything, but yeah it’s a better image format practically in that sense.
On the web this saves money when storing at a large scale, and it can have a significant impact on page speed when loading websites on slower connections.

What problem would auto-deleting communities solve? The communities aren’t doing any harm sitting there
Only thing I can think of is getting notified for new videos from youtubers you’re subscribed to and the convenience of saving the play position when you don’t finish a video
until I can individually pick leaves off the trees I won’t be satisfied
