Because here are many people who did a switch to linux. How did you handle using a cad software like solidworks or fusion360 after switching to linux?

The wierd part is, if i think about my star menu usage in win10, there hardly is one. The important programs are on the task bar. The Startmenu isn’t as much needed as used to be. Still sucks though.
Perhaps you select the wrong games. I kinda stopped gaming for some years. More than an hour was exhausting and most of the games are really boring. Then i rememberd how i loved transport Tycoon and got ottd again. Tanked LOTS of hours into that game. Half a year later i stumbled over factorio again. I bought it in beta and disliked it. Lots or ottd players followup with factorio, so i gave it another try and DAMN iam hooked. Played 60h in the last few weeks, mostly 1-2h hours per day. Its crazy.
Iam using it exactly like op eants. it works great and is cheap
Its wierd to have these two posts next to each other today

Pleges for nuclear power if photovoltaic is already cheaper?
The cropping is way to good for memes.
I did the recommended stuff (resetting ublock, updating the filters and Restart). The ad popup about disabling adblock still opens up.
Sadly my current laptop is kinda new (half a year) and I searched way to long, because I have a weird taste. (I am used to hardware mouse buttons, so thinkpads are mostly the only option. I also dislike the odd haptic gummy feeling of premium thinkpads, which only some models don’t have (for example T490s, T14sG1 and G2) or the Yoga X1 series which is aluminum, which I gladly found a nice deal of the 2019 model.
This search went on for about a year. :O
Thats sad to hear.
Iam using a Laptop with a thunderbolt connected gtx1070. Does someone have experience or tips using linux and gaming with a setup like that. That and (solidworks) are the last reasons i didn’t switch already.
I read you post and thought that it could be something i would say, too.
Thats what the children of my friends class thought, too.
There is a limit for max open tabs?
Is this a w11 thing? Or does o&o shutup in default settings disable stuff like that. I actually never have seen a forced reboot like that myself.
It sounds really shitty and i dislike windows alot.
