Mastodon managed to just confuse the hell out of me before boring me. Take that with a grain of salt, though, because I was never on Twitter. It may be me, not the platform/concept.
…that has no bearing on the fact that they’re both bad policy as measured by their impact on this country.
I believe he ruined any such claim with his work on criminal justice legislation long before he endorsed genocide of a captive population.
Oof that bad huh? I had considered getting it if goes on sale in the future just to see if it is as bad as people say but…damn.
How come? I don’t have a stake in it, I’m just curious any time someone has a strong opinion on an instance, especially since I just joined .world and never looked back/around.
Ubuntu but with an Arch wallpaper? You madman
I’ve seen footage!
The civilians of Gaza, clearly and inarguably. They have been living for decades under aerial surveillance, need IDF permits to even visit a hospital outside Gaza, which is often necessary as the hospitals within Gaza have been under supplied for years. They also had the Israeli army only allow food imports sufficient to keep the population just above starvation levels. And the whole time, armed Israeli “civilians” have been forcibly evicting Palestinians from their homes in land to which Israel has no claim under international law.
To argue that a violent reaction to that kind of life makes anyone morally blameworthy is callous, bigoted, inhumane, and plainly wrong. If you think that, honestly, I am sorry for you.
It’s almost as if, and hear me out guys, ISRAEL ARE NOT THE GOOD GUYS HERE.
America: doing the morally and logically wrong thing in the world stage since 1953! Now with more drone strikes!
The number of times W11 menu has tried to convince me to install TikTok immediately destroys the OS’ legitimacy in my eyes.
And then there’s the lack of customization; the shovelware and bloat; the random crashes and hangs with only a blue screen with an emoticon frowny face; the constant advertising; and the tracking of everything you do with the OS to feed advertising; the forced integration of cloud services like OneDrive…
Fuck windows. I’m not a programmer but I’ve been running Manjaro (I know, I know) as a daily driver on three different devices for 7 years now. The only true problem I’ve ever had was theming grub2 and fucking up the config, which was entirely my own fault.
There is nothing wrong with being distrustful of blatant propaganda.
No no no this will be fineeeee it’ll all be fineeeeeee cries in world war final edition
I think that’s a perfectly reasonable stance. Just mention the need to install the “words” package if it it throws an error saying /use/share/dict/words can’t be found. It took me about three minutes to solve and I’m only a hobbyist!
By the way, love this project! I forgot to say that in my initial reply :)
I’ll have you know that fixing things that don’t work for no reason is my favorite thing to do on a distro /s
While I kid, I have been on Manjaro for 5 years as a daily driver. I know it’s team gets a lot of hate, but it’s been rock solid for me for all my normal usage.
Quick pointer you may wanna add to the readme:
This depends upon /use/share/dict/words which doesn’t necessarily exist on all systems. To try this out on an arch-based district, (Manjaro,) I had to install the package “words” with yay.
As a poor person with low-end, old hardware, I love XFCE. It has extended my laptop’s practical use-life by at least 8 years now, and counting.
This is the type of high-brow conversation that keeps me on Lemmy.
