How often did the hoplite style shield result in an arrow to the shin or knee?
I found it helpful for consolidating my data — I had some really complex multi-brokerage stuff to consolidate, and that went well.
But it failed at calculating ACB correctly and it over-agreed on whether deductions were applicable or not.

I tried asking an LLM (Opus!) a question about how a specific calculation worked on my taxes and it was incredibly wrong.
I had made a minor mistake last year, so I had to call the CRA anyways. Just as an aside I asked and they confirmed the LLM was very very wrong never do that.
Edit: I should add, Quebec CRA employees have 200% more chill than Ontario CRA employees.

I’m not sure if it’s for me, but I wasn’t quite sure if you were having a fun time from your description. I’ve seen it on sale and was looking for a new story game (just finished 007 First Light, can’t say I loved the plot)
But I digress, I like your posts

receive respectful feedback
This is the problem. You can be against AI and provide respectful feedback. But the community doesn’t.

1536·3 days agoIf you don’t want the AI features don’t use them
I do want a good file system embedding plugin for semantic search, image categorization and content recognition, better OCR, etc. I can run all those locally for less energy than playing a video game and wasting zero water, but a good OS integration would be game changer.
There are definitely things to say against AI, but the anti-AI crowd can sometimes be incredibly short sighted and assholishly militant.
At some point does it make sense to use Blu Rays?
I have a No Man’s Sky disk. Like 5% of the code on that disk is in the production game today. It’s online only, so I couldn’t even play it with the disk.
Cartridges do kinda make sense, you could patch the game on them (in theory), they can come in much larger sizes than disks too.
Side note: modern gaming is shit.
I bought Spyro and couldn’t even play it without agreeing to a privacy policy. It’s a single player offline game from the PS1 era. I installed The Sims 4, I can’t even play without an EA account. I tried Assassin’s Creed and you need an Ubisoft account to open the game.
Shit is fucking stupid.

I’ve painted it 6 times in every unit, but I’m sure it’s not systemic.
BG3 does a pretty good job here. Big release, the upsells were all art books and stuff, with a few callback items you get as a premium.
But I’m not surprised Rockstar, after milking GTA5 online for a decade, are not the champions of consumer equity.
No, my point is everyone is making a huge stink about GTA6 as if Rockstar are dragging the industry into the shit, but it is all the same shit as every other game on the market.
Was anyone actually expecting anything different?
Okay, but if I look at literally any game on Steam or PS store every single game has “Standard Edition” “Deluxe” “Full on Simp” options.
Single player only is a plus, not a problem.
GTAV has a ton of shit in game trying to force you online. Stuff like businesses you could only buy online advertised in game.

11·8 days ago5e is a great system for a “Rule of Cool” style of DMing. That’s amazing for a decent DM and inexperienced/less technical players.
But it is not a good CRPG system or a good system for experienced and technical players. There’s a lot of “can I…” and “I want to…” that slows down combat even when you know the rules.
Plus, there’s stuff like “can a centaur ride a horse?” where 5e is inconsistent. Or the infamous peasant rail gun.
