Steam is fine in my book. And I understand why it isn’t open source with how much it’s worth.

How long ago was that? I have installed Arch with archinstall on ~10 different PCs over the last 4 years without any issues. Maybe I just got lucky, though.

Arch is unironically easy.

You only need to know two commands:

archinstall

and

sudo pacman -Syu

Much more stable and polished than KDE and I am running KDE myself. I think it only makes sense to run GNOME if you like the vanilla experience.
