Israel represents half of the global Jewish population. The US represents most of the remainder. In the US 8 in ten say caring about Israel is important or essential.

Israel and its actions like it or not represents Jewish people as a whole fairly well. Obviously not every single person but the majority thereof.

There are a lot of people not worth attending to. If you do spend your time listening to these folks you don’t hear new ideas you hear the same bad ones over and over. It would be lovely that having noticed that someone is a persistent holocaust denier he could be added to a list that would disappear not only their contributions but their votes as well for thousands of users.

Not only is it not hard to imagine its easy to imagine the benefits of using this information automatically. I could imagine a client side script which re-ordered content based on who I trusted who had up or down voted it.

So I have users A B C D E F who are known to me who have voted on a given post. D and E are idiots I disregard their votes. F literally hates everything I love so I count his votes inversely. A and B are fantastic I count them x10 I tend to agree with C so I count his x2.

Not only can I potentially re-score threads and comments based on whom I trust I can if I really trust someone’s opinion apply their weights as well, and the weights of the folks upstream.

This often means unofficial builds that aren’t from the developer that sometimes have sandbox specific issues the devs didn’t contemplate because they don’t actually do flatpaks. If someday the random bob who is neither the original developer nor some trusted individual connected to the distro is hacked they may push out a malware enabled update that pwns all the people who automatically update in short order. This doesn’t seem like a security increasing feature.

It is difficult to prove non-existence. Do you have some reliable sources I can read that show this behavior? Sources who preferably don’t make weird assertions or constantly spout provable lies in other respects? It doesn’t count if its a reliable source that is merely reporting “unreliable source says ___”

As an example if the Washington Post reported that $KNOWN_CRANK says ‘aliens are among us’ the Washington Post is taking ownership of the fact that $KNOWN_CRANK said not not the veracity of the crazy claim which is left to stand or fall entirely on the credibility of $KNOWN_CRANK.

If you look into it you see weird claims like poisoning people to take their organs (this ruins the organs) and taking people from graveyards for the recently killed (you don’t bury people and then come back for their shit) .

If your hardware isn’t supported what are people supposed to say? Gosh I’m sorry volunteers didn’t donate more free work to make that shitty laptop work let me now assemble a strike force of expert programs to crack that problem by next week? Labor is a finite resource especially free labor.

This is complicated. Firstly outside of Wayland Nvidia works pretty great and has worked great for me 21 years on the other hand the amount spent is kinda irrelevant using different hardware is often actually the correct advice. The fact that Judaism is both an ethnicity and a religion is confusing. Nobody should be condemned for the ethnicity they were born with. Religions are voluntary associations.
