They’re decent sponges that last a long time and don’t get smelly very easily, and they’re also cute.
In my experience they’re a bit lacking in abrasive power though.

Palworld is pretty good but it is so fucking buggy it actually makes me want to stop playing sometimes and I feel a lot of resentment for having paid for such trash. It will definitely make me more careful to check bug reports and gameplay videos before investing more time and energy into a game in the future.
Bugs I have found so far include:
Controls also suck bigtime. I still keep accidentally throwing pal spheres with Q and I really suck at using 1/3 to switch between pals. They should make it so you have to left click to throw the pal sphere. Should also maybe allow alternative ways of selecting left/right for pals and in menus, other than 1/3. Maybe Ctrl+scroll or something, idk
It also is taking fucking forever to get a gun. I am level 17 and so far do not feel like it’s “Pokemon with guns” at all. I have a shitty spear which is the most powerful melee weapon at my level, yet does almost no damage to level 18+, and a semi-shitty crossbow which is super annoying to get the arrows for (arrows don’t drop from enemies and the grind to manufacture them is super boring)
My understanding was that overstock.com bought them for their brand only, and then changed their own name to Bed Bath & Beyond. So the old BB&B is now extinct, and overstock.com is now masquerading as BB&B.
If you go to overstock.com or o.co, both actually redirect to Bed Bath & Beyond now (which is presumably just a re-skinned version of the old overstock.com?)
Is it used for any serious apps? I saw they released the “cosmos” which is very impressive but mostly seemed like basic utils that were already available in Linux/Mac?
I see 306 issues and 0 pull requests. That’s got to be a bit discouraging as an open source project maintainer - plenty of people filing bug reports but no one that cares enough to help fix the bugs.
Are you a programmer? If so, the code is open source, so you could try fixing it on your own; it doesn’t seem that hard to fix. You could try to find where they are handling scroll input and see if there is anything that tells you what direction it is. Then if it’s horizontal just ignore it.
That’ll never happen, the tobacco industry is too big and too many jobs will be lost all at once, so it becomes highly politicized and loses popular support. With the proposed law, the tobacco industry at least has time to pivot to something else.
I just visited Canada for 4 days, was around a lot of people and I only smelled smoke twice. Both times were outside the airport (once arriving and once departing).
The dushbags trashing on Flatpaks and Appimages and Snaps are totally in the right 😈
No thanks, China’s infrastructure is of notoriously bad quality.
Hot take (maybe?) C# looks like a great language, better than Java. I wish I had an excuse to use it.
I like that their name contains the letters ADHD in order
This is really odd, I hit this same issue recently. Booting into an old kernel also fixed it for me. What distro are you using? I’m on Ubuntu.
I wouldn’t say the arguments are all wrong and carry zero weight. How are you so sure that these arguments haven’t swayed the majority towards one side or the other? These arguments are happening between actual people (I’ve heard normal people discuss this outside of online communities), possibly shaping their opinions, and could be what’s shaping those 70/80% numbers.
Even though I pronounce it “jif” too, I am tired of seeing arguments that rely on how other words are pronounced. You are not helping the cause, as these arguments are too easily countered. There are much more convincing arguments to be made, such as how “jif” is more practical since it can’t be confused with “gift,” and how the creator was making a reference to the word “jiffy.”
By calling it “jif” I think the creator was referencing “jiffy,” as in “fast.” It’s like a video, but it loads in a jiffy. Or: it’s a short looping video - it’s over in a jiffy then restarts again.
I think people that call it “gif” don’t intuitively get this, even at the subconscious level. If they did, I think they’d prefer “jif.” It’s much more fun IMO. Not to mention that it’s less likely to be mistaken for an existing word (gift). So it’s both more fun and more practical. What else do we have to do to convince you people :(

Were you scrubbing an mfin cheese grater with it? I have not had this problem
