I guess so. Roosters are the ones that crow, but when they’re alone (seeing themselves in the mirror) I suppose they figure they don’t need to signal there’s danger. I’d have to look for the video and paper for more details on whether they tested whether this was true with other roosters or just chickens, but from my memory I think they did both

I heard a pet behaviorist explain the mirror test for roosters/chickens had to be designed with consideration for them being social animals. They found when putting a mirror without other chickens around, the roosters wouldn’t crow when a predator was flying overhead. Yet, with other chickens there, they did

Gotta know how to design the test, essentially

  • Could you share some suggestions for the 1-2 pot recipes with a variation or two to demonstrate? I’ve started stocking up on oatmeal and frozen fruit, then frozen veggies that I season in the air fryer. Outside of that things like hummus, green bean casserole and chili are my go-tos. I’m not exactly a great cook but I’m trying to experiment more slowly replacing other simple shit like pizza rolls, bacon and eggs, etc. Especially if I can do large quantities to freeze and save leftovers

Just a friendly reminder there are therapists that work pro bono or for discounted rates. I’m paying $60/ session without insurance and it’s an investment for my mental health, future relationships and career.

Imma be honest, half my communication involves emojis on discord. Jeb with his arms up is part of my personality now and I won’t apologize. When I started seeing someone a few weeks ago I had to explain that he’s missing out on half of my personality by texting. I substitute by jebbing in person but it’s just not the same 😔

(and yes, Jeb has become a verb)
