There are other deductions that no longer come into play after a certain income. If I recall correctly, mortgage interest, child tax credits, and some medical deductions.

Problem is that the Uber wealthy have all sorts of extra tax vehicles that even the 400k/year income folks don’t have. With various holding companies owning the various assets you use (e.g your car, house, etc.) your on-paper income can be quite a bit lower. Throw in various deductions and that’s how you get super wealthy people paying less taxes than “regular” people. Progressive tax rates already exist, and while this increases the percentage at these incomes, unless it addresses all the other loopholes, this will conveniently miss the 1% and instead impact high earning professionals.
In the US you could absolutely fall into a new range where certain deductions no longer apply, so you could make that extra little bit of income, then lose out on deductions totaling more than your increased income.
It’s not as simple as the progressive tax brackets look at first glance.
You’re a one note clown. Keep sowing disinformation and all your calls to vote 3rd party just show what a fool you are.
Better typing online than planting sunflowers eh?
Not multiplayer, but Green Hell is also fantastic.
Not sure it’s steam deck friendly, but The Talos Pinciple (1 and 2) are both great puzzle games.
Different model, unless you’re advocating for a monthly subscription model for these games. That’s the only reason that “roll up” happens, to try and get people to subscribe. Much harder to subscribe if I need to buy 10 DLCs + base game first.
Hamas is a terrorist organization plain and simple. Trying to call them “Freedom Fighters” is like trying to polish a turd.
Don’t forget that they have also been repurposing much of their navy as their new immobile submarine fleet.
The world news community on .ml is just Russian and Chinese propoganda.
I found it to be way too similar to Two Point Hospital, but somehow less engaging. The overly silly theme just didn’t do it for me unfortunately.
Just FYI, there is still a FREE tier of VNC (now called Lite) that is for home use for up to 3 computers. So the only real change is going from 5 free to 3, which may work just fine for some.
You will need to “relicense” the 3 machines, but it’s pretty straightforward and you can even change the license while using the VNC connection itself.
Thinking someone is a douche and actively damaging their car are two completely different things. Not cool to damage property like that, just point and laugh or loudly exclaim how that is the ugliest looking car you’ve ever seen and you pity whoever thought it was a good idea to buy one.
Sadly with how the US general election works, if your not voting for Biden, it just helps Trump. You know his supporters don’t care about Israel, the Middle East, women, LGBT people, etc., so they’re not holding back.
If Trump wins, none of your rhetoric will excuse where we end up, and yes Biden and the current lobbying groups so entrenched with Israel have their share of the blame, but absolutely so do the voters who let it happen.
There’s a difference between criticizing, protesting, etc. but that’s not what people are advocating for here. It’s either “don’t vote” or “don’t vote for Biden in the General Election”.
You see the difference right? Once that general election comes, Trump winning would be absolutely catastrophic for the US, so unless you’re a Russian plant, or one of those “let it all burn down” people, there isn’t much choice.
Ok, so vote for the guy who will literally make all of this worse. You won’t have to worry about a genocide in another part of the world because there would be some starting up right at home.
What a completely foolish take. “I won’t vote for Biden, I’ll just vote for the guy who wants to be a dictator and who cares even less about Palestine”
Russian troll or a completely deluded and/or privileged person who “lived through one Trump presidency”.
I can’t begin to stress how completely, off the rails, crayon eating levels of stupidity this approach is.
This problem is worse with cheese, using words like “cheese product” or “butter flavoring” for butter. Nobody is getting confused about Oat milk not being from cows, but these “not quite cheese” products are misleading.
And yet they want people to believe that their cars are of excellent build quality.
Not sure what choice has to do with what I was saying. Of course those are choices, but my point was that there are certain inflection points with income where post-tax income can actually go down.
