It’s a bit of a hassle, but modding up Fallout 3 would be my recommendation. It has some of the greatest storylines of gaming, all time. The DLCs are incredibly good. Make sure to use VATS often as that is where the fun is at.

The 2k color map on nexus mods is essential for me, and it has all locations posted so you don’t waste a lot of time searching. I also highly recommend looking at console commands to customize character looks, increase your carry weight, etc. The game has so much to do but those little features make it fun for me.
