I mean in an optimal world, politics is just bullshit and we could skip those charades. But we don’t live there. I for one am actually glad he gets a bit more harsh. Acknowledging that China is an autocracy is important, and coming from a US president that’s a very good statement, but also making clear that randomly spying on another nation won’t be tolerated is important too. I don’t want it to escalate, but these clear cut words are important sometimes.
