Option c seems far and away the best. The reason I browse certain communities over others comes down to admin moderation. Certain instances have stricter admin control and seek to influence political dialogue one way or another. I just don’t want to get banned again for posting the word “tankie” when it’s entirely relevant to the discussion at hand.
Not sure if you’re aware of what happened to .world for a few months. If you decide to ascribe any political philosophy or moderation ethics to sublinks, it may be worth checking out the attack vectors used over there. Optimizing sql lookups extendedly occupied the .world admins so you’re already a bit ahead of the curve there.
Could be internal damage. At least, that was the case with my old phone.
Looks like they are. I can tell from some of their words and from seeing quite a few critics in my time.
I’m curious about the resources required to federate with threads. It would utterly dwarf every other instance in every capacity, 1000fold. Wouldn’t this put a fair bit of financial pressure on every federated instance?
It may have changed in the last few months, but I specifically recall seeing hexbear user comments on lemmy.ml posts well over a month after the one-sided defederation while on my sh.itjust.works account. I checked from at least 3 separate instances, lemm.ee, .world, and .works, as it was more than a little confusing for me. That’s also how I learned about spotty comment federation.
If A, B, and C are federated and A defederates B and B does not defederate A, then it would look like this. A>B=C
A cannot see B, B can see A through C, and C can interact with both. Comment federation when B comments on A can be a bit spotty, from what I’ve seen.
If you can dodge criminal discharge of a firearm, you can dodge a bill. Seriously though, how did he manage to blow through his speaking money? I’d read that he’d earned 10k on several.
Is soaking still a thing or can it only be found in memes nowadays?
Trees and algae have different utilities. Trees are beautiful, reduce temperature, offer shade, and produce a modest amount of oxygen. Algae tanks produce vastly more oxygen by volume and cause you to question whether it’s really enough to continue meandering through life in this stone and metal postmodern hellscape and maybe it’s okay to finally indulge in a vacation near open fields and untamed wilderness. The local camping spots might be available in a few weeks if my sanity can hold out. One doesn’t completely substitute the other.
One of the positives of the AI ad page shitshow defining current search engines is that pirating written content has never been easier. In all likelihood, there’s a full site rip visible by simply searching for the contents of an article, recipe, book, whatever. Bonus, no ads.
“o_o”
Do you not understand what that means to ethnic Koreans? It’s derived from the 1940s Japanese expressicon often used after they dressed slaves like animals to amuse themselves. The Koreans were no longer people in their eyes, they were less. Less than human, less than even beasts. They were servile dolls to be toyed with and discarded, which reflected in the Japanese refusing to use names or even the word “who.” The progenitor of your emote was often used as follows:
“(。O ω O。) what is this?”
Never played destiny and never will, but deep rock galactic, overwatch, and baldur’s gate all have mechanics rooted in other games. After playing a few other ability-heavy shooters with slower onboarding, OW and DRG make sense.
If silksong is bad, I’m legitimately going to have an existential crisis.
Never doubt your ability to be influenced by propaganda. The technique that broke the internet in 2015, lying and then confirming the lie more convincingly with a second account, is still very successful today.
The overwhelming majority of users who came from Reddit seem to be ~19 and lack any degree of EQ, for better and worse. It’s homogenized into the old Reddit crowd but slightly more progressive, which has perplexed me. I still prefer it here, it’s an objectively better time sink than Reddit, especially since they switched their algorithm to cater to fake stories and celebrities. When AITA comes here, I’m moving to mastodon.
Edit: you’re welcome to downvote, it doesn’t change the very noticeable inability to recognize “stallman was right”
That’s a good solution… I’m, frankly, upset that I’ve been settling for fruit syrups and whipped cream for as long as I have. Silly to say but sincerely, you’ve made breakfast diners infinitely more accessible to me.
Been a couple of years, but doesn’t the scallop cracking indicate that it was fairly overcooked? Everything still looks delicious!
“Major Xbox,” oh, are they updating the Xbox? Maybe buying another company? “…influencers,” and you lost my interest.
