That took me way longer to get than it should have.
Then I laughed a couple times. Thanks for chuckle homie.

God I’m so old that I just wish they would do this for fallout 3.
I fully understand why they went with fallout 4 for the upgrade.
Funny, I remember playing fallout 4 and thinking damn this is not that different from three.
I got power armor and did a few other quests… Then I just got busy with something else.
Fallout 3 though, that was one of my first RPGs on Xbox 360. I didn’t blow up the town etc etc. I really really enjoyed that game although my memory hazy I was literally barely a teenager at the time
…
You make it sound like I verbally abuse people for bad code.
It’s famously difficult to implement your own time-based systems that also deal with timezones.
Ya know, I’m fairly certain I wouldn’t want to work with someone like you either, who seems to jump to conclusions based on an off-hand comment I made that wasn’t meant to be particularly cynical.
My main point of the previous comment is that it has nothing to do with JAVASCRIPT, just the developer on the other end. Drawn whatever conclusions you want from that assertion
I have seen this episode.
That is EXACTLY why I don’t understand why someone wouldn’t just use an NPM package that already has all that stuff sorted out. Could you imagine trying to code to deal with different time zones?
Forget about it.
I mean wouldn’t any sensible developer just use one of the many npm packages that do count down from UTC?
Which would also be using JavaScript?
Sorry I don’t mean to quibble it’s just that imo JavaScript has nothing to do with this faulty countdown, it has to do with the developer overlooking edge cases.
To be fair though the article kind of sucks.
He’s not being held in a hospital for life, he’s being held indefinitely. Which is absolutely the correct decision considering his abilities and record of hacks
Yes, 100%.
I really can’t tell if you’re being serious. Just in case…
The prophet Muhammad was a real piece of shit etc etc etc.
See? I’m allowed to do that. Thankfully I live somewhere I don’t have to be in fear of saying things like that.
Yes my wording was terrible. you’re right that it’s the millions of other things constantly polluting that’s the problem.
My point was just that her tour is one of the largest ever. Largest ever also means one of the most polluting ever.
As I replied to other people, yes the wording was poor.
But, it’s so silly to compare her fleet of semi trucks to all the semi trucks in the world. I mean wouldn’t it make a bit more sense to compare her to other touring acts? Was just reading an article yesterday about how hers is one of the largest and most expensive tours ever.
fwiw I used to live in India many years ago.
Was lucky enough to emigrate to the states when I was eight years old. We didn’t have a car back then. My dad had a moped that we used a lot.
But yeah, I didn’t use to be part of the problem. But now I am as well
I already mentioned I was wrong about the air travel. I looked up the numbers and edited my comment immediately.
Yeah the trucks are a drop in the sea as well.
But stop kidding yourself that the 90 semi trucks is nothing. It’s all pollution.
What other tour and/or concert is slipping around 90 semi trucks??
You bring up a good point that there are millions of semi trucks on the road. But that’s ridiculous to compare her 90 semi trucks to all the trucks on the road
Let’s compare her to other touring artists. To be honest I don’t have the numbers off top of my head I’ll have to look him up. But I was reading an article the other day about how her tour is one of the largest productions to date.
So no, her 90 trucks are not a huge part of the problem. That wording was wrong on my part. But among touring artist, she is easily one of the biggest polluters.
Quoting Taylor Swift is… an interesting choice when talking about climate changes.
Didn’t her recent tour require 90+ semi trucks just to go from city to city? Not even going to mention all the emissions that result from whenever they have to travel by plane.
Yes, popular music acts that tour are a HUGE part of the problem.
Also, my bad I’m not tryna harp on you just because I recognized a song lyric. I’m a Taylor Swift fan myself. Well, more of a chiefs fan. And by value of the transitive property…
Edit: also apparently all air travel only accounts for about 2% of emissions. So while my point isnt technically wrong it’s missing the forest for the trees
Great job man!
Meth is perfectly bioavailable when take orally.
People crush/snort/inject it because it hits faster.
It seems you’re thinking about heroin. You do need to snort or inject heroin for it to be bioavailable.
It’s not the same effect. Then the sauce will be salted, and the pasta will maybe absorb some of that salt.
But, in my opinion, that’s an inelegant solution.
I personally do not want any more salt in the pasta sauce than what’s already in there. I do, however, want my pasta to take in a little salt from the water.
For those reasons, I add a little salt to my water as it’s boiling
Y’all I dislike forced browser adoption as much as the next guy.
And I’ve been using Firefox for years and years and years now.
But, I’m forced to use edge for work. And, as a browser purely, none of the anti-trust baggage attached…
It’s really not too bad. A lot of things work just fine. And sometimes, if I’m having weird performance on a website on a personal device, loading the same URL in edge has resulted in improved/expected functionality of the website
One of my favorite memes in general, used to great effect here.
What ______________ does to a mf
But I mean… really tho!!
I’m 29!
Millennial, I guess.
For sure don’t use jquery.
React is industry standard, but not my favorite. That being said, even my personal projects I do in react. I’m happy with my current role, but if I wanna switch down the line there’s less openings for a dev with mostly Svelte (my favorite framework) experience.
I mean, it doesn’t HAVE to be bad right?
But yeah, I get where you’re coming from
