“Liberty means responsibility. That is why most men dread it.”

“Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.”

  • My new favourite is people talking on the phone while letting off absolute bomb in public washroom stalls, some even on speaker phone.

My second are those that come in playing their music on phone speaker for all of us to hear their jams.

Not sure if this is better than those that do it on a nature trails but all groups should be forced to have music speaker phone battles while bears and wolves eat them all…

  • I did install a Sega Genesis emulator on a old laptop during the Xmas break to play some NHL94 and 95 with modern rosters.

That was a lot of fun. I also installed Pirates! Gold after a day and it was fun to revisit these games from my youth.

I loved the ability to save stats.

However after a couple of days I’ve not really played them again since. It only cost $14 for the Sega controller so it was worth the price. I don’t think I could buy 2 beers at a bar locally for that.

  • I’ve seen people argue the real numbers of the decline for China are much worse than they have shared and they may already be past the point of no return like Japan and South Korea. It’s going to be interesting to see how they handle an aging population.

Asia does have a more recent tradition of kids being the retirement plan so they might fair a little better than places like the US where that is not the norm anymore. The US with their infrastructure crumbling from underfunding and a general lack of care, should provide a good side by side comparison of the ride down with the differences of family versus industry support of seniors.

  • I don’t think the narrative is he was shut up is correct. Much like how there was a procedural step missed for selecting a trial by jury or by Judge in one of his trials, the judge asked for confirmation that the defendant Trump would stick to the rules of keeping his speech to the trial matters and not to the various other things he likes to ramble on about like a lunatic in a asylum.

The judge never received a response from the defense lawyers so it just expired after a few days. I suspect his lawyers didn’t want Trump to get up there and make matters worse for himself.

  • I have to wonder what the scar lines from the various transplants and hair tucks would look like.

I’ve read he’s had a lot done to close the gap and make the George Constanza Ceasar’s crown into a full head of hair. That’s a lot of ground to pull up over. I don’t think it would look so smooth.

I can’t even imagine how much time he needs to spend each morning to get that thing ready for the public. That’s a lot of hairspray. Combine that with the orange spray tan and the makeup it’s not a 5 minute job.

  • The supporters don’t care about law and haven’t in a long time. They ignore this about him:

The more than 25 women who have accused Trump of sexual assault or misconduct (which he has denied), and the countless more who have endured public vitriol and threats to their life after being targeted by him, have all been punished either for challenging him or for denying him what he fundamentally believed was his due.

Laws are the least of their worries. Getting everyone to group think like them is more critical then they can get rid of everyone not like them.
