  • I was guest-DMing. After 1 person hilariously failed a challenge that another player came up with a completely different solution, they were presented with a thick stone door. On the door was 5 markers. On each marker was a different symbol…a flame, a bolt of lightning, a snowflake, skull and another I cant recall maybe a star.

The person who hilariously failed the first challenge kept trying to push the markers with their bare hands, and each time I said “nothing happened”, so she tried a different one, tried pushing it harder, tried pushing 2 at a time, tried hitting it with her weapon, which I asked if it was magical and she said so, then kept trying the same thing over and over again. She kept talking over everyone and I even think she said “this puzzle is stupid”. I was seconds from scream “look at the symbols” when someone took a swing at it with their radiant sword that things started clicking into place in their heads. The dumb one then tried using a level 2 fire spell and I think let out an audible groan.

In advance I made sure all players had cantrips of these particular damage types while building this puzzle and she wants to use a level 2 spell. For reference she’s an OP druid (because she cheats on all her rolls), has a higher AC than our barbarian and more HP than our paladin, yet considers herself “squishy” and stays in the back peaking out behind cover to shoot with a crossbow, and takes it as a personal attack that everyone hates her if any enemy does damage to her.

  • “Are you taking the piss, Karen?,” a popular British term meaning making fun of someone, after she claimed she was doing “all the hard work.”

In my experience, the people who complain about being the only ones doing all the hard work are the ones doing more complaining than actual working.

    • One would spend several hours almost daily chitchatting at other people’s desks about how they are the hardest worker and things can only get done if they do it, they’re the first in, last out, etc. But spends half their day complaining instead of working.

    • Another is a serial whiner who says no one else ever does anything, they have to do it all in order to get it done, yet they always have some excuse why they don’t have to come in that day, or have to leave early, take a longer lunch, and spends a good chunk of their day gossiping.

  • You can’t use a VPN if it’s not a company device, so we’ll make it significantly easier and use a VDI.

First, open the client which will require you to log in and MFA via text. Then you select the one and only environment to connect to, which will require a log in. Once you are connected to a pool you can RDP into your workstation or servers, that don’t retain usernames no matter how many times you try to save it.

Oh and for security purposes it has a 5 minute lock policy for RDP. And another few minutes for the VDI session so you’ll have eto log back in twice.

  • A bunch of people complaining about a show they clearly never watched.

He barely supported a family of 4 on that pay. Especially the early seasons make running gags that they’re all on the brink of starvation as in fighting over an m&m they found in the kitchen to a tiny scrap of food elsewhere in the house, and skipping out on checks if they are out. Marcy had often complained the Bundy household was an eyesore for the neighborhood and was dilapidated. Plus his Dodge which was in constant disrepair, and was so old the odometer had rolled over from 999,999. Even more running gags about how Al only owns 3 pairs of underwear, all his socks are falling apart and have holes in them, and his generap wardrobe is cheap and out of date even for the time period. Al and Bud are often looking for some kind of side hustle while Kelly likely gets a lot of stuff bought for her from all the guys she dates.

But let’s not forget an the important fact…it’s a fictitious TV show made for the purposes of entertainment about a lower class family and anyone who tries to use it as examples of affordability or someone living beyond their means should have lost all credibility to their argument.

  • I’m in the middle of relocating to Ohio. I sold my house in GA and despite getting mildly fucked by the “they’re first time homeowners” BS I still have about $130,000 profit from the sale. 100k of that has to go into the down payment just so I can afford anything over 200k.

My initial budget was about 310,000 but I had to bump it up to 350 just to find something that isn’t a poorly maintained shit hole that would require 50k just to make it decent again, and to have more than 1.5 bathrooms.

And this is on top of all the houses bought by people who watched a a season of Flippers, and thought it they put shittier grey vinyl on the floor they could net 100k.
