Well technically thanks to the rising housing cost crisis I’ve gained about 50k in equity in the past 3 years. Does that count?
Just putting it out there that “property owning” is not the class deliniator! I “own” my house/property and the only differences are that i pay rent to a bank instead of a landlord, and i can knock holes in the walls if i want to.
I’m still pretty much paycheck to paycheck, squarely in the working class.
Darwin awards are reserved for those who remove themselves from the gene pool. Mr Amber Lamps here can probably still put a bun in the oven.
I dont have a general doctor and last time I tried to get help I got profiled as a drug seeker. Its really turned me off trying to get help but maybe I should try again
Coffee did not help me. A few years ago i was averaging 2 liters of coffee per day it was a real problem. I don’t drink coffee anymore.
This is me. Help how do i do stuff?
Chicken is fine too.
Get some roast turkey from the deli counter (Boar’s Head all natural preferred, but just dont get any heavily seasoned kind), sliced as thin as possible, and sneak him a little bit every now and then. Hopefully she wont think much of it sitting in the fridge, and you can even make yourself a sandwich with it once while shes around so she really doesnt suspect anything.
My cats love their daily turkey, and it keeps them from overeating the dryfood that I free-feed them. They only eat the dry food when hungry cause they know they get their “kitten chicken” every morning 😺
The images are not actually the captcha. They’ve used other methods and tools to verify your authenticity, then they force you to help train their image recognition AI under the guise of it being the actual captcha. Its Distributed Forced Labor, and Google has been using captchas to do this for decades. Remeber the picture-of-two-words captcha? One word was always squiggly and the other was not. The squiggly word was the real captcha, the other word was from a scanned book and you were helping to train their OCR algorithms.
Wristwatches are just jewelry at this point tbh. They’ve been rendered completely redundant by cell phones. The only people under 60 who wear them are doing so as a fashion statement.
I’m sure a lot of wristwatch stans will downvote me but I don’t care I’m still right
I thought having grown up with ADD and having developed my own coping mechanisms and strategies would help me raise an ADD child. Holy shit it is so hard.
Ive noticed that low-brain work is a lot easier to get myself to do. Its like my brain is lazy but my body isnt. Last spring I dug up 125 sqft of grass, lined it with decorative bricks, spread several 100lbs of topsoil, and sowed wildflowers. And before that I busted up 30 feet of sidewalk with a sledghammer and spread 3 cubic yards of fill dirt. All required basically zero brainpower. But godforbid i have to concentrate for 2 hours to diagnose and fix a bug at work! If I could get paid a software dev salary to shovel dirt for 8 hours a day I would in a heartbeat.
Uber driving sounds nice tbh. Phone tells you where to go and what to do. No brain needed.
I disagree. The teabag is a welcome replacement to having to have yet another unitasker in the kitchen.
No, that complicates things way too much. Simplicity in design is beauty. A real engineer would recognize the tag on the string not only as a point a confusion, but also a superfluous feature. Simply remove it. The end user will have to use a spoon supplied by themselves to remove the teabag, but thats their problem. At least there is actually tea in the cup at that point.
Shhhh if you say it like that people’s heads will explode
Yes of course there are actually a lot of differences, being a homeowner after renting for years I am very aware. My comment, partly in jest, was focusing on practical day-to-day differences. But also, getting equity in your house is actually not that big of a windfall if you sell, because you still have to live somewhere and the other houses/rentals have all gone up in cost to match. I suppose if I was to move in with someone… but I dont plan on doing that ever.
But anyways yea fuck capitalism
