11·11 days agoI mean technically median income has gone up about 80% in the US since 2005. While inflations CPI over that same time span is around 70%. You can look at
https://www.officialdata.org/us/inflation/2005?amount=100
to calculate rate of inflation and the BLS to cover median income 2005 vs 2025.

That obviously doesn’t take all factors in cost of living into account (particulary housing). But what you said is basically incorrect and more importantly, completely irrelevant to a moderate increase in price to a consumer good for the first time in over two decades.

110·12 days agoYou’re just so incorrect with logic so flawed in so many aspects there’s just nowhere this conversation can go. What you’re saying will be upvoted, that doesn’t make it even remotely accurate, just ideal/popular.Good luck out there.

42·13 days ago80 dollars in 1980 is the equivalent of 330 dollars today~ish. You’re not grasping the inflation aspect I’m pointing to. When looking through that particular lense, video games are cheaper now relative to historical context than they’ve ever been. Not to mention literally every consumer good increases in price consistantly to match/overcome inflation. Video games are WAY behind every other consumer product I can think of in that regard. This is especially true when talking entertainment products.

178·13 days agoA new game was 60 dollars when I was 8. Im 31 now. Inflation puts the pricetag around 100 bucks if they stayed roughly the same cost. If gaming is unaffordable now its been that way since at least 2005… There also wasn’t a robust indie/cheap game scene to the tune of 10s of thousands easily accessible back then. Be annoyed about a price increase I guess but it’s not like it’s unfair or unaffordable comparatively.

181·20 days agoCyberpunk 2077 meme. Solo is an independent mercenary hired to do dangerous jobs. Gonk is slang for punk. Eddies is slang for money. Strong solos with lots of cyberware could easily rip a normal person in half.
Do you even remotely understand the context you’re trying to make a point in? Bad stuff is going on, yes, correct. There are millions of places specifically designated to talk about that bad stuff. This is one of the very few specifically designated to NOT talk about that stuff. Respecting the context of this community and ignoring bad people/actions are two completely different things. Anyone who sees this meme and instantly thinks its obviously about Trump is unwell or trolling I’m fairly certain you’re the latter but it’s totally possible you’re the former.
The idea of loyalty is strictly political in any context? I think you’re likely unwell. That’s not really the definition or etymology.
That’s really exciting for you. Have you considered enjoying a meme without bringing up Trump? Does he permeate everything you think and do? Especially considering this has less than nothing to do with him and politics are against the rules in this community.
I’m disappointed but not surprised you were able to loop Trump into this.
“I think the best place to focus our War on Terror is in this nation’s haunted houses.”
“When I was a kid, I used to think revenge was a dish best served cold. Then I learned it means getting back at somebody.”
“The more I learn about this Hitler guy the less I care for him”
“Now, I don’t want to get into politics, but this Adolf Hitler fellow sounds like a real bad egg. Seems to me that the fellow’s biggest problem was a lack of respect for his fellow man.”
Not sure but he had cancer for many years and never told the public. It was a shock to everyone.
