I don’t play online games much. And I’ve never even tried to cheat when I did. I know the difference.

But if it’s a single player game and I’m having trouble? Hell yeah I’ll cheat. Proudly.

I just heard that right after launch it started happening and apparently they fixed it without much fanfare. At least on single platforms. Like I’m just on Xbox.

I reinstalled BG3 just because I heard about mods coming to console.

I bought it at launch. Played it until my saves deleted themselves right at the start of Act 3. I was broken. It was such a slog for me to get that far. I had to Claw for every inch of progress.

With mods tho. I can cheat. And boy I love cheating. I grew up with Action Replay, GameShark, Game Genie, etc. I’ve missed them terribly.

Can mods be used in speed runs?

Let’s say that the Bucket takes up a weapon slot. So it goes with you through transitions like the teleporter. But that needs a catch. Like say you drop the bucket if you get below 30% health for instance and have to pick it back up.

If Bucket% isn’t a recognized challenge run. It should be.

I like the sticks and rumble. By extra stuff I meant like haptic triggers and stuff like that in the newest controllers.

I own a Series S. And I’ve been looking for a PS pattern Xbox controller forever. But I’ve never found one.

PS2. Before all the unnecessary extra expense got added in.

I plan to build a PC eventually. Primarily so I cheat at videogames again like I did with GameShark on the PS2.

You will. I went through it with both parents. I burned my 20s looking after my dad until he passed just like you’re doing. Then burned the first half of my 30s looking after my mom.

Inb4 - My choice on both counts. And I don’t regret it. But because of it I sort of failed to launch. Never got a chance to be young. That part I do regret. Never went to college. Never dated. Don’t even make $15/hr now and I’m almost 40. Been on my own for about 4 years now. I’m keeping the bills paid. But that’s about it.

Said all that to say this, finish that Bachelor’s. Don’t you dare let anything get in the way of that. I’m only making it cuz I’m not opposed to eating ramen for years at a time. Bills eat up all the rest of my money. Economy is fucked beyond fucked. That degree may not help you much or it may be a godsend. But it’s far better to have that than just a HS diploma like I have.
