Honestly, after a week of executions over here, including one against the wishes of prosecutors and the victim’s family, and another after a witness came forward and said they lied, this is the best news I’ve heard today.
That’s one to few failed tests
I’m sorry, but corporate prohibited public access to the baja beast after the last incident.
Hate to break it to you, but all numbers are imaginary.
And even with the battery; it’s not about the size, it’s how you use it.
Hey Google. Wher is pen Island?
An indictment charging… conspiracy to violate the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) and conspiracy to commit money laundering was unsealed today…
Between in or about October 2023 and in or about August 2024, RT sent wire transfers to U.S. Company-1 totaling approximately $9.7 million, which represented nearly 90% of U.S. Company-1’s bank deposits from all sources combined. The wires were sent from shell companies in Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and Mauritius, and were often accompanied by wire notes ascribing the payments to the purchase of electronics. For example, the wire note for a $318,800 wire payment from a shell entity in Turkey to U.S. Company-1 on March 1, read: “BUYING GOODS-INV.013-IPHONE 15 PRO MAX 512GB.”
U.S. Company-1 never disclosed to its viewers that it was funded and directed by RT. Nor did U.S. Company-1 or its two founders register with the Attorney General as an agent of a foreign principal
The first amendment right to free speech does not include the right to defraud. Fraud is generally considered a crime in the US. The indictments are not regarding the content that was produced/influenced, the indictments are regarding RT pretending to not be RT and falsifying financial records in order to do so.
Also, RT is still allowed to broadcast in the US. RT voluntarily pulled out of the US market after cable providers dropped the channel following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, as is there first amendment right.
Daddy! I want an Oompa Loompa copyright infringement now!
Well, when he realized the seats don’t recline as far back as he thought…
I bet Austin is having a blast with this shenanigans.
🙏 thank you for caring enough to reevaluate your understanding 🙏
It is an unfortunate effect of language that in order to distill complex social issues into pithy slogans that can be chanted, put on a poster or a T-shirt, or get millions of shares on social media, you lose a little nuance.
That sucks, I’m sorry that someone did that to you. Abuse comes in many forms.
The most important thing in responding to a an abusive situation is to separate the abuser from the victim, and it sounds like you got the short end of that separation.
It is a good thing that the cops, with what biases they carry and little information they have in stressful situations, are supposed to be the beginning, not the end, of the justice system. I truly hope that the system eventually worked in your case and that after your arrest, you were not charged, convicted, and sentenced due to a false accusation.
Just making your way through the system can be enough to feel like you are being punished.
That was certainly not my intended meaning, and I’m sorry it came off that way. We have a system of innocent until proven guilty. When someone makes a claim, it should be taken seriously and processed though that system until that system reaches a conclusion. We should not be dismissing victims out of pocket, or attacking accusers as antagonists before the system has an opportunity to fulfill any part its obligation. When people treat accusers as a bad actors, it punishes victims who have already been through hell, and further suppresses other victims from coming forward. Victims who often times still remain in dangerous situations, while their abuser is free to abuse them or others. If we wish to live in a just society we must take grievances seriously and treat the aggrieved with all due care and respect that should be granted to any fellow human being.
I can’t believe this was only a year ago. It feels like forever.
Agreed. When someone tells you they have been mistreated, do not simply dismiss them. Consider them as earnestly as though they are telling you the truth until it can be established that they are, in fact, not. In this case the accusations were taken seriously, evaluated, and found wanting. System working as intended. (This time)
I love this fun fact!
It’s not because they’re LED. It’s because they’re aftermarket: illegally colored, and poorly aimed or not aimed at all.
