Fair enough.
Fair enough.
Not sure why you phrased that as correcting them when you were agreeing and adding to it.
Oh okay, you said not to so I thought you meant don’t. Thanks for being cool with what I’m in to
No clue about motorcycles but those things look neat and win awards. I want one now. Thanks for turning me on to this neat bike.
For whatever it’s worth, even if elements of the plot have been recognized as Good Story TM already by other games, that doesn’t take away from your idea. Tropes become tropes because people like them. Who knows if you’ll ever get to work on this particular idea you’ve had, but from hearing your idea I feel like you have that sort of knack for good story beats that a writer needs.
You’ve come up with a neat game. I’d enjoy playing it. I think you’ve moved beyond remake and into sequel territory, though. The multiple parties working at odds reminds me of the Golden Sun series.
That’s not okay. What if somebody told you that you’d eventually revert to cisgendered? That’d be very hurtful and rude. Telling this person their sexuality identity will change because you think it should is wrong
I think that you hit a key note here: it’s a crossover meme from other spaces. They’re not Linux memes. I do get the joke, and why you make it, and I understand the concept of intersectional solidarity, and that it’s a good thing.
I also think that when people who have been marginalized for a long time find spaces that accept them, tend to treat any space that accepts them as a space made “for” them and their issues, when really Linux has nothing to do with what’s in my pants or yours or anyones. Linux isn’t a men’s thing, or a women’s thing, or about gender at all.
I (don’t) appreciate the fact that instead of empathizing and trying to address my concerns, you’re telling me I’m overthinking it, and explaining it to me like I wouldn’t understand the concepts of let’s see, the meme itself, capitalism, socialism, and FOSS software.
It’s a joke, yeah, I get it, but jokes are supposed to be funny and instead this one is using harmful language about trans people and FOSS software. Stop. And don’t act like anyone who doesn’t agree with you just doesn’t get it.
I’m glad trans people and non binary people feel comfortable in Linux spaces. Everyone should feel accepted in what is ultimately about computer software. At the same time, I find it a little confusing just how much content seems to find 1:1 equivalence between trans/enby movements and using not-windows.
I really want trans people to feel comfortable here, but I also feel like the frequent repetition of content like this post sort of commoditizes transness. Am I not a valid trans person if I prefer Macs? Am I not a valid Linux user if I’m happy with my AGAB? Again, really happy trans/enby people are happy here, but when we start saying group 1 equals by definition group 2, people from both groups get left out.
That’s a funny clip but let’s be kind to each other. They were trying to be thoughtful in their own, admittedly unique, way
I appreciate your saying that, and your desire to be respectful of people’s names. You had good intentions. I hope you have a great day.
Edit: Why are all you jerks downvoting the dude for saying sorry? Do you want to discourage people from apologizing? Because that’s how you discourage people from apologizing.
Yeah, so much so that I had to tell you about it in that last comment I wrote.
Nobody else knows or cares how Cyrillic is pronounced versus the language the rest of everything written is. You’re just confusing people, especially if you don’t care about proper grammar to match your capricious language hopping.
If some Americans I disagree with want fewer immigrants coming here, then a more stable Mexico would encourage Mexicans and other Spanish speaking immigrants to stay in Mexico. Mexicans wouldn’t immigrate to the USA, and Guatemalans and so on would stop at stable and prosperous Mexico rather than making the further journey to the culturally estranged USA. Instead of building the wall, we’d make Mexico a net.
Oh sorry for not being serious enough in the memes community. I’ll be sure to bring my dissertation next time about how your mom sucked me good and hard through my jorts.
I also said we had cheese made of fire ant milk. Google hyperbole, then get back to me.
Of course I went to school, I’m an American, where do you think I learned to bar the door from gunmen?
I hadn’t heard of that kind but it’s pretty! A quick search says I could get it at Walmart. I personally prefer not to shop there but that means it’s probably available somewhere else. I’ll be sure to try it some time, thank you for the tip
No, but you guys seems to think we only are aware of craft singles and can cheese. That’s our lowest level of cheese. I was trying to explain that despite your opinions, we actually do have food here.
Edit: Saying “we actually have that too” doesn’t mean in any way “Europe has no grocery stores”. I thought you guys had the good schools?
You guys always miss the point, we have your cheese, and our cheese, and synth cheese, and any other cheese you want. Imported European cheese? Yep. Craft cheeses from Wisconsin? Any kind you can think of. Cow, goat, buffalo, sheep, cashew, chicken, fire-ant, whatever. I can go to Costco and get a 72lb wheel of Parmigiano reggiano, aged 2 years, shipped to my door within a few days. I can go to town and visit a number of delis and get a pound of anything sliced fresh. I can go to the grocery chain store and get a presliced pound or go to their full in store deli for more options. If I’m having a burger I might go for the classic American cheese slices. We also have a cheese flavored product in a can that is good when you are tired of living. You have only high quality cheese because there isn’t room on your tiny European shelf for the sheer variety of bullshit we also have.
“clearly wasn’t”
I see now, you just phrase things abruptly in a way that SEEMS rude but clearly isn’t. My mistake. Have a nice day.
