  • I use ionos since 10 years and I‘m very happy, but only for webhosting stuff. The VPS Services I get from Hetzner and I havent really tested them.

I did have a meeting with IONOS this week though about it and I‘m positive about the UI for new vps owners since its quite easy to grasp but I dont think they’re a better option than hetzner.

As someone with a special interest in psychology I would say that being faced with inequality compared to our parents, we‘re definitely off to a bad start.

Our outlook on the future is fundamentally worse. The planet is fucked, most of us will never own a house, stuff is getting more and more expensive while we‘re being exploited at work. All while we‘re told the world is so much better than it was.

Those of us with the awareness to recognize that we are not seeing an improvwment are the ones that are worse off. I reckon it is another reason why social media and other distractions are rising and stress diseases are insanely high.

TL;DR: You can be factually better off while being constantly reminded how bad the situation really is and feel worse. We’re in a psychological crisis.

  • Hi. Autistic adult here. I‘m sorry you have to go through this and get triggered by these things. I can relate.

I think these „don’t do business with evil“ peeps are trying to make do as well as they’re watching the vast ignorant majority embrace consumerism and are panicking how to save our planet and our minds. I know its futile but I don’t think the majority wants to feel smug.

I learned something that helped me out a great deal since 2020: don’t assume malice if you can assume incompetence. (And for us autistic people: if you can assume incompetence, be kind and don’t repeat the ableism you were met with).

Just trying to spread some kindness. I hope it helps. Thank you for working so hard for your kid.
