  • I remember initially getting downvoted on Reddit when the announcement trailer was posted because I mentioned that this was going to be the case and that I was going to wait a couple years.

Paradox has focused hard on releasing games with DLC planned every 6-12 months as has been the case for almost all of their recent titles. And I play a lot of their games. Cities 2 should have released with at least some of the dlc content already released in 1, on top of being optimized for performance. Paradox should be the poster child for patient gamers.

  • I was so excited when you said “Northern VA”. I was like “I can get these Burgers!” No, you mean geographically Northern Virginia, not NoVA, which typically means north of Woodbridge, East of Leesburg.

This place is 30 mins west of Centerville or Manassas. To some, that’s not bad. But most people in NoVA are 30-45 mins away from Centreville/Manassas. Without traffic.

So games should never go free or even discounted because someone else paid full price ten years ago? That’s just stupid. Let alone, CS2 is essentially a new game that’s being released for free. Your only valid complaint is the content, maybe. Maybe they plan on releasing content and had focused more on quality during development.

  • I’m in the last act and nearing the big bads… But bugs are getting more frequent. One of them allowed me to traverse the entire foundry without starting a fight. One bug wouldn’t let me remove one of the party members from my group after they got knocked unconscious and I couldn’t help them up.

So it’s been a slog of frequent saves and reloads. Still enjoying the game, though. And can’t wait to start a 2nd playthrough.
