  • Meds do help in my case. My issues was not procrastination so much as id procrastinate and then forget about it.

Meds help me remember to do things and stay more organized but they don’t make it super easy, just easier. I think the biggest thing is they make me feel awake. Before meds, i always felt like i was tired. Probably because my brain was always in overdrive.

Feeling awake helps motivate me to get stuff done.

I’m using amphetamine salts or generic adderall

  • Lol ive had that kind of experience as well. I got lucky and first med i tried was really effective. I’m now able to just stop thinking for a while. All the voices are quiet and no music plays.

I just got diagnosed last year and ive had ADHD all my life without knowing it so super weird to just have a quiet head. I get what you mean, its such a drastic change, but a good one.

  • If you dont need the drive to be fast and want best bang for your buck storage capacity, HDD is the way to go.

If you want speed and are ok with a higher price, SSD is best. Used enterprise HDD are usually a good value. Im in the US so not sure about where to purchase exactly.

Something to consider is if the drive you are storing the os and files on are the same, using am HDD will make it slower on start up.

  • Oh yea, I’ve used this before and still do. But this only works to a point and for me, being medicated was my best option.

My first session with my pysch, she said it sounds like youre already doing everything i would normally recommend before prescribing medication so i think we should try meds.

Not that these kinds of things dont help, just sometimes needs to be paired with meds as well.
