Wow, Eugene Cernan really should have dedicated that moment to Lucretius instead of Galileo.

I wouldn’t mind my tax money paying for their one-way tickets. Especially if they leave their passport at the gate.
But if the help had come from North Korea or China, Vlad would have been fine with it.
Doesn’t Storm Shadow require Western operators to program targets? I want Ukraine to win this war of national survival (unlike the US administration) but Western operators programming missiles to hit targets in Russia does sound escalatory to me. I’d rather see Ukraine receive a decent number of F16s (i.e. much more than currently pledged) with corresponding munitions. There’s a lot of really useful stuff in the Western arsenal that would otherwise remain unused forever, including older-gen glide bombs & standoff weapons. It’s not going to be the Wunderwaffen winning this war, anyway. But an ample supply of decent weapons could work wonders. Just look at the success of Russia’s cheap glide bomb upgrades. (Sorry for the wall of text, by the way, but I can’t get Connect for Android to retain line breaks)
That’s cool. Means Ukraine doesn’t have to burden itself with housing and feeding them when they surrender.
Lucas Pope is a genius.
I (occasionally) like the frantic style of Ben “Yahtzee” Croshaw’s Zero Punctuation game reviews. Together with the wacky animations, they’re quite something.
My favorite soundtrack ever, of course, is that of The Secret of Monkey Island (MT-32) by Michael Land. A lot of nostalgia there.
I also very much like the soundtrack to Dune by Stephane Picq. There’s an edition that combines the Adlib, Adlib Gold, and MT-32 versions which is “chef’s kiss”. Alternatively, I can recommend the Space Opera edition.
Strike Commander by Nenad Vugrinec on MT-32 is also great.
For chiptunes, I really liked Penny Arcade’s On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3 by Alex Mauer.
Or, for a real classic, Earthbound by Keiichi Suzuki and Hirokazu Tanaka.
Yes, I have a bit of a thing for retro sounds. 😁
Too bad we can’t prove that it’s state actors perpetuating the recent (planned) attacks on German people, property, and infrastructure. Otherwise these would be considered acts of war against the German nation, to be met with measures of our choosing including the use of military force. I hope that our diplomats can convey this message loud and clear because Putin is playing some seriously dangerous games here.
Maybe it’s an ASUS thing but both my current and previous boards have been pretty good with the help texts.
Yup, my first thought as well. While those days are thankfully over, those braindead BIOS “help” messages remain etched into my mind forever.
I actually just bought a saddlebag for my bike which was cheaper because it has a (rather inconspicuous) company logo on it.
IDK why people are downvoting my post. That’s literally what that is.
I visited a talk with Peter Singer in Washington, D.C. a few years ago where people applauded a guy who had considered joining an NGO and decided to become an investment broker and donate to Effective Altruism instead. 🤔
He won’t be prosecuted in court anyway. It’s probably going to be a trial of the ratatatat-tat style like Ceaucescu’s. All this does is show how pathetic Lukashenko really is.
About what, genocide? You might be onto something there, Sergey.
All the people complaining must not be using verbatim search (in search tools, toggle from “all results.”)
