Using Matrix clients with XMPP could be interesting, if Ejabberd adds the Matrix client API.
The recently added Matrix bridge in Ejabberd still needs a lot of work though before it is usable.
It would be great to have servers that support both protocols, i prefer XMPP because of speed but some say matrix is safer.
If they mean “safer” as in e2ee, that is false. The opposite is actually true.
