Hey, I like the weekly reading thread, and since I bounce between the two and have recently bounced* back to gaming (spent the last 6 months focusing on reading, and finished multiple series), I can contribute here, too!
Spider-Man 2: So, I finally finished Spider-Man 2 on PS5, two to three weeks ago. Growing up with the animated series and then Tobey Maguire severely impacted my draw to Venom. I haven’t felt like they’ve ever really gone into as much story as they should have… until SM2. It was amazing, the entire arc was well thought out and very well put together. I have finally scratched that itch and I can put it down. That being said… if* Tom Holland ends up doing an arch, I’ll be there.
GOD:R Valhalla: Following that I just picked GOD:R back up for the DLC, and completed the main story just within the hour on my last play through. I’m halfway through my next current dive.
FFVII:R ch2 Demo: The next one up? The new FFVII:R ch2 demo and game. I generally don’t platinum, but since I ALWAYS 100% FFVII (original) once or twice a year growing up when it first came out… I absolutely had to platinum the first chapter of the remake. And I’ll probably do the same in this chapter. I try to remain spoiler free before things come out (movies, games, etc), so bear with me on labeling them ‘chapters’ instead of whatever they’re calling them.
Been playing Alan Wake 2 and Lies of P.
Both are amazing games. They really nailed it with Alan Wake 2, story and atmosphere.
Still in the early-game with Lies of P, so can’t say much about that one yet.
I alsonhave both games on my wishlist.
I guess I should watch a story recap of the first one before diving into Alan Wake 2.
A friend of mine stoped playing Lies of P bc it was too difficult, so let’s see if I’ll like it.
Will get both games once they’re on a sale since I have too many games in my library anyways.
I finished Toonstruck, which was kinda amusing.
Now I started the Tomb Raider remastered trilogy and I really like it. But I must also say that I’m a huge fan of the old games (TR 1 was one of my first PSX games I’ve played) and don’t like the reboot too much. Hope they’ll also remaster the other ones and let’s see, maybe they’ll create a new Tomb Raider that’s more like the old ones instead of an Uncharted copy.
