I was never a Cage fan. Most of my exposure was my SO quoting Moonstruck, which admittedly he is entertaining in. Then I saw this list a time ago and have since watched several of them. Most of the ones I’ve watched have not been a disappointment and he’s really grown on me.
I do like B movies and mst3k stuff, so maybe I’m not the person to be recommending movies, but having said that:
Mandy and Color Out of Space are my favorites. Mandy is nightmare fuel incarnate and I love every minute of it. Color Out of Space comes in a close second. Mom and Dad is amusing, as is Willy’s Wonderland (not on the list above, https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/willys_wonderland) where Cage doesn’t say anything through the entire movie.
Pig is good, but sad. I don’t like to watch it. I didn’t love Joe, just unfun as the page above says. Jiu Jitsu was trash, I think also came along after the list above.
He and Pedro Pascal are great in The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.

Pig is one of my favorite movies ever. I married a chef though so opinion may be biased
