I run Xubuntu 23.10 64 bits and enjoy playing retro games with Kega Fusion (version 3.63X). I don’t know exactly when, but sometime ago it stopped playing sounds, as it’s always marked as disabled.

If I run wine to play Kega Fusion, it works, but it consumes much more resources and I’d like to avoid that.

Notice that I also tried Mednaffe and the same happens: If I run it natively on linux, no sound, but if I run it with wine, sound works.

Don’t know what to do.

Should this not be the channel to ask, where else could I ask?

Well then you know what the problem is already, so I’d start digging into configuration settings related to audio, and see if there are any plugins for whatever your sound server is.
