Dubbaya gets too much credit by which I mean I think he’s still been a worse POTUS than Trump was. Trump is a miserable lazy grifting criminal but W. actively made the wrong decision at nearly every juncture creating ripples throughout the world that we feel today and will feel for decades to come if not longer. Only Jan. 6 made me start to think maybe Trump could be worse for the USA and the planet - but that remains to be seen. Definitely all bets are off if Trump gets elected again.
Reagan needs to be inside the criminal circle too, tbf. In fact, I think Reagan can probably share center stage with Trump, for that matter.

Usually I say “don’t mistake incompetence for malice” because so often when people fuck up, they aren’t doing it to be mean but just because they’re stupid.
In this case, though, you’re mistaking malice for incompetence. Everything Reagan fucked up was 100% intentional. I mean, punishing black people and poor people was basically a campaign promise.

I would argue that Bush was more criminal than all others combined. He was a mass-murderer.
And Reagan was a criminal as well. He just got Ollie North to take the fall and leaned into his dementia to play the poor victim.
And given he wasn’t able to do the job of president due to dementia, I’d say incompetent also applies. Trump is just extra incompetent and extra criminal to almost comical degrees if we didn’t have to deal with results…
